Jessi Yoakum, CVT
I’m Jessi. I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2013, after obtaining my degree from the Community College of Denver. In addition, I have a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. However, the Veterinary Field is where I’m happiest. Mixed animal medicine is my true passion, and I have lots of experience with both small and large animals. In working alongside the knowledgeable and caring doctors here at Littleton Veterinary Clinic, it is my goal to provide the best possible care and medicine to your furry family members. As for outside of the clinic, I was born and raised in Colorado and I love it here. Growing up, I was always out in that Colorado sunshine on horseback, and that is where you will still find me!
Julie Richter, CVT
Hi, my name is Julie. I am proud to be a native of Colorado, and currently live in Littleton. I am a graduate of Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology, earning an AAS degree in 1992. I have experience in both large and small animal medicine and have a strong interest in dentistry and surgery. In 2000 I delivered my first son, and 18 months later had twin boys. During the next 14 years I dedicated my time to being a stay at home mom, and would not have traded those moments with them for the world. Now that they have matured, I felt it was time to get back to what my heart has called me to do, and that is taking care of pets. I began working for Littleton Veterinary Clinic in May 2014 and have really enjoyed helping and watching the clinic grow. Every day brings new and exciting things to learn and I am lucky to have Dr. Sare as a mentor. I admire her knowledge as a Veterinarian and I am committed to her, the staff and the patients here. LVC has become my second family and I am truly grateful for this opportunity.
Outside of work, I enjoy most anything the outdoors has to offer. My newest hobby is Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (with my 2 dogs on board as well), water skiing, snow skiing and of course spending time with my three boys. Horses are a long life passion of mine and I look forward to owning one again soon.
Véronique Brown (V), Office Manager/Veterinary Assistant
My name is Véronique, but people lovingly call me “V”. I moved to the United States from Belgium in 1998 to the beautiful beaches of Northwest Florida. In 2009 after I married my husband, we moved to Indianapolis. While living there, I worked as a receptionist / dog groomer in a dog resort. I’ve owned, loved, and cared for my pets ever since I was a small child. I grew up with German Shepherds, a Husky, and several kitties. I currently own a Pomeranian, a Pomeranian mix, and three spoiled cats. In April of 2016, I had the opportunity to move to Colorado, the state in which I’ve always wanted to live. I was very fortunate to expand my pet knowledge and to get hired at Littleton Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary receptionist / assistant. I love to help care for people’s pets and to be amongst animals and animal lovers every day.

I have a love for all animals and currently have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 horses, 2 goats. My passions are for family, friends, horseback riding, gardening, hiking, skiing, arts, music and travel. Sierra Caramazza, Office Manager
Hi, my name is Sierra. I have been an avid animal lover ever since I can remember. I am a Colorado native, but grew up on a farm in western New York. My childhood consisted of raising livestock, horseback riding, and adventuring in the woods. My family rescued our first horse when I was 11 years old. Since then, I have been drawn to the equine industry. I have years of experience riding, and teaching. I always manage to find myself drawn back to working with dogs and cats! Not only do I love furry beasts, I also love reptiles, birds, fish, and all sorts of exotic creatures. I feel that animals truly help us through this crazy thing called life. If it weren’t for them, I don’t know where I would be today. My four-legged family consists of a yellow Lab named Carmine, a Bearded Dragon named Dart, and a Jack Russell named Oreo.
Working at Littleton Veterinary Clinic is absolutely wonderful. I am so grateful and lucky to work with such an amazing group of people. I hope to meet you and your pets soon!
Tiffany Myers, Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Tiffany! I moved from Knoxville, TN to Littleton, CO in May of 2018. My hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, music, and baking. I have traveled most of the East coast and I am slowly making my way west. Growing up in rural TN meant that I was always working with animals. Eventually, this inspired me to start working at veterinary clinics. I have been doing this since 2013 and I love what I do! My four-legged family consist of a large mix breed canine named Brody and an orange Tabby named Tiger. Both came from shelters.
I consider myself lucky to be sharing my passion with the amazing group here at Littleton Veterinary clinic. I hope to meet you and your four-legged family soon!
Claire Miramon, CVT
Hi, my name is Claire. I moved to the United States from France in 1999 and lived in Houston, Texas until I moved to Colorado in 2011. Animals have been an immense part of my upbringing and to this day my life would be quite empty without them! I am a graduate of the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and have experience in both small and large animal medicine. My four-legged family consists of an adorable Border Collie mix named Rusty, a German Shepherd named Nala and a beautiful palomino mustang named Starshine. All my furry kiddos are rescues with unique personalities! Living in Colorado, my enthusiasm for the outdoors has reached its peak. When I’m not working and loving on my client’s companions, I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping and discovering all the beautiful places the U.S. has to offer!
I am very fortunate to have joined the Littleton Veterinary Clinic team and to be working with such a compassionate and trustworthy staff. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) in the near future!
Carissa Joseph, CVT
Hi! My name is Carissa. I was born in Colorado and have lived in the beautiful area of Littleton all my life. I graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2019 earning my AAS degree.
I have a beautiful kitty named ‘Chowder’, she is my partner in crime and midnight snack buddy. During my free time, I love going out and taking up what Colorado has to offer. I love going to Red Rocks and music festivals all over the country! Music and animals have always been a big part of my life. I am so excited and grateful to be taking care of your four-legged fuzzy family members. One of my favorite parts about veterinary medicine is educating our amazing clients about how to keep their furry friends living long and healthy. I love working at Littleton Veterinary Clinic because of my incredible teammates. Even in the busiest of times, we all make it work. Everyone is always very positive and has a smile on their face. I am so happy to be a part of the LVC’s team!
Julie Sumlin, Veterinary Assistant
I am a proud Colorado native. My husband Greg and I have raised 3 great children here, and many pets. We currently have two sweet cats and two energetic little dogs.
I have had many jobs in my life, but working as a Veterinary Assistant is definitely the best. I am passionate about all animals, and I love taking care of people and their pets.
In my time outside the clinic, I love running, paddle boarding, cooking and spending time with my family and pets.
I feel lucky to work with such a kind and knowledgeable team of doctors and staff, and I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
Claire Veldkamp, CVA
Hi, I’m Claire! I’m a CO native and currently a senior at CU Boulder. My BA will be in Integrative Physiology, with a minor in Spanish. I hope to go to vet school one day, and recently obtained my certification as a veterinary assistant from Animal Care Technologies. Animals and medicine have always been my biggest interests. I currently have two horses and recently adopted a parrot! I have been fortunate to work at Littleton Veterinary Clinic since high school and have been blessed to learn from such wonderful people. This truly is a dedicated and experienced group of caregivers. I hope to meet your pet(s) soon!
Ahoy-hoy! My name is Alicia. My father’s military service brought my family here from a small town in Montana. Our family ultimately fell in love with Colorado, and we are all proud to be permanently “stationed” here now. I am an avid student, enthusiastic artist, sci-fi/fantasy lover, and dedicated husky mom. I earned my AA in Psychology at the beginning of 2020, and am actively working toward a doctoral degree. I strongly feel that our animal companions can support us as much as (and often more than) we support them, so I am very passionate about giving them the best lives that they can have. My husband and I are the proud owners of two ‘difficult’ huskies, Nebrknezr (Nezr) and Hikaru (Hika). We adore the unique personalities and devotion that these dogs are capable of, and we hope to build an environment that will allow us to foster or rescue more in the future. I am so excited to be working in a clinic that cares so deeply for every patient, and extends that care beyond visits to the clinic. I look forward to meeting you and your family soon!
Hello! My name is Jesmine, and I am a certified veterinary assistant after having graduated from the Community College of Denver in 2020. I am from Washington D.C. originally and moved to Littleton five years ago with my family. Colorado has become my home and I love living in Littleton. I have four dogs and one cat and love spending my time surrounded by animals. In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing, hiking in the mountains, skiing, and playing tennis. Caring for animals is my true passion and I am incredibly lucky to work with the loving team at Littleton Veterinary Clinic!
Hi there! My name is April, and I can’t wait to welcome you and your furry family to Littleton Veterinary Clinic. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me hanging out with my pets, drinking tea, reading, writing, editing novels, and tending to my many (almost 100!) houseplants. I moved from Georgia to Colorado in 2017 to pursue a master’s degree, and I’m currently working toward becoming a certified canine acupuncturist. Two of my cats, Simon and Zuko, made the cross country move with me, and I have since adopted a little old dog named Tinkerbell and a little old cat named Frankie. I have a heart for senior and special needs pets, and rescuing animals is my greatest passion in life. Working in veterinary medicine allows me to continually learn about how to best care for my critters, and I enjoy sharing this information with other pet lovers and working in an environment with animals and folks who love them.
